ClockTap vs ELID Technology
ELID is a hardware company first: fingerprint terminals, card readers, and door controllers, with TimeCheK as the attendance software that reads them. It is the traditional Philippine setup — buy the machine, wire it up, install the software. ClockTap is the software-only answer to the same problem: the browser on a device you already own becomes the clock.
ELID publishes no prices — devices and software are quoted per site, and the real cost depends on how many terminals and doors you fit out (checked August 2026). We give no peso figure for ELID because they give none.
ClockTap figures use standard list prices — launch promos on the pricing page may be lower.
What ELID Technology costs
- Quote-based: contact sales for both hardware and software.
- The cost is per site — terminals, readers, controllers, cabling, and installation.
- TimeCheK handles time and attendance; IDenCheK is the HRIS and PayCheK the payroll module.
- Hardware carries ongoing costs software does not: repairs, replacements, and dead readers.

Common questions.
For recording attendance, mostly. A terminal ties a clock-in to a person's finger or face; ClockTap ties it to a place, with an employee PIN plus two locks you control — the clock-in must come from the site's own network, or from inside a radius around its location. Two things software does not replace: a PIN can be shared where a fingerprint cannot, and if the terminal also unlocks the door, you still need the hardware.
ELID does not publish prices. The cost is quoted per site and depends on how many terminals and doors you fit out, plus installation. Beyond the purchase there are the ongoing costs any hardware carries: repairs, replacements, and the days an entrance cannot record because a reader died. ClockTap costs ₱2,990 a year for up to 50 employees, with nothing to install.
This is where a terminal struggles and software wins. A fixed machine cannot record a security guard at a client site or a merchandiser in a mall. ClockTap lets them clock in from their own phone, with the clock-in locked to a radius around the location they clock in for. Each client site you want fenced separately is its own location, so count them against your plan: 5 on Pro, 25 on Max.
